Gundam.

This may look like a scene from the latest Transformers movie - but it's actually reality.
Gundam is the world's largest robot and has been pulling in the crowds in Japan.
He is 18 metres tall and is being used to promote Tokyo's bid for the 2016 Olympic Games.




The robot even comes to life as smoke billows out of his front.
More than one million people have gone to see the robot in the last three weeks
He stands in the heart of Shiokaze Park, the proposed venue to host the beach volleyball competitions in seven years time.




The logo was placed on the robot, in a ceremony led by Athens 2004 Olympic Games gold medallist gymnast, Naoya Tsukahara, and Miss Nippon 2009, Marino Miyata.
It is part of the Green Tokyo Gundam Project, which will help raise funds for new greenery throughout the capital as part of the transformation the city.
