The "trick" part of "trick or treat" is an idle threat to play a trick on the homeowners or their property if no treat is given.

Esta recomendación viene de la mano de Stevie. Nos propone "my generation" de The who y la versión de Oasis. The who es considerado una de las bandas más influyentes en la historia del rock , y ha sido descrita como "una de las bandas más innovadoras y poderosas en la historia del rock".

La banda es pionera del concepto de ópera rock y se la considera precursora de subgéneros como el punk y el britpop. .Esta canción está dentro del disco debut de esta mítica banda y se publico en 1965 y está considerado como uno de los mejores discos de la historia del rock. La revista NME lo situó en el 2006 en el puesto 49 de los 100 mejores discos de la historia.
Esta canción sería el presagio de los movimientos heavy y punk.

Los Gallagher que mamaron, de entre otras fuentes y casi todas alcohólicas, de esta banda, no iban a ser menos y tienen su versión. Poderosa a mi entender con un guitarreo duro y fuerte consiguiendo una versión nada desdeñable. Comentar que Stevie y yo tuvimos la suerte de escuchar esta canción en directo.

En concreto me he fijado en la obra de un artista gráfico canadiense llamado sandfreak http://sandfreak.deviantart.com/ y me ha llamado mucho la atención la obra que aquí veis titulada "boy and girl" que definiría como una fantasía futurista donde la magia y un mundo desconocido se funden para hacer que los dos protagonistas se fundan en una busqueda que les lleva a lo incógnito.

Que quiénes son Kaiser Chiefs?

Ví a estos tios por primera vez hace ya unos años con U2 y Franz Ferdinnand. Ellos eran los teloneros y los primeros en tocar. Me levantaron del sitio con la primera canción. En realidad es el grupo que más me ha impresionado por la fuerza que tienen. Estos fulanos salidos de Leeds nos llevan al sonido ochentero del mejor ska inglés mezclado con una pizca de punk y lo mejor del rock de las islas de los últimos 10 años.

"Lo más importante para nosotros es la energía. Si no la tenemos, nos va a salir una basura", reconoce el percusionista de un grupo que completan Ricky Wilson (voz), Andrew 'Whitey' White (guitarra), Simon Rix (bajo) y Nick 'Peanut' Baines (teclado).

Esa energía parece que faltó en su segundo album, " yours truly, angry mob" (2007)aunque era imposible repetir un disco como el primero, un segundo trabajo que fue incapaz de revitalizar el impacto causado por su debut, 'Employment' (2005). Tres millones de discos vendidos en época de crisis y unos directos recibidos con fervor —también en España— avalaron aquel álbum que parecía rescatar la quintaesencia de lo británico a base de mezclar Brit Pop, punk, new wave y pop sesentero.

El caso es que canciones como 'I Predict A Riot' o 'Everyday I Love You Less And Less' se han convertido ya en himnos para toda una generación de británicos

Can´t believe it!!

Jason Harschbarger, from Pullman, West Virginia, heard his horse winnying on the hill next to his house, only to discover the silly filly had lodged her head into a tree cavity.
Luckily the young horse managed to escape her ordeal with just a few minor injuries.
But the tree wasn't so lucky - Mr Harshbarger had to use a chainsaw to set his filly free.
He said: "She has a few cuts on her face and ear. Last I heard her jaw was a little dislocated but I think it is healing up and she can eat on her own again."
But that didn't stop Mr Harschbarger pausing to take a cracking photo of his horse having a 'mare - before coming to its rescue.
No doubt she'll think twice before horsing around again.

Hay canciones que marcan. Y hay bandas que aprovechan esas canciones para versionarlas, estropearlas o hacer obras maestras con ellas perfeccionándolas. Pues hay que ponerse a pensar y sacar del baúl las mejores versiones y las mayores bazofias que se han hecho.

Hoy voy a empezar con una bastante conocida. "The man who sold the world"escrita por David Bowie, el rey del Glam Rock en 1970 y versionada por Nirvana en 1993 en un desenchufado. Mi opinión. El Kurt no se esforzó mucho, la verdad, ya que lo único que hace es poner su "voz" y dejar la música completamente o casi igual. Además su chaqueta llena de mierda trajo cola.

Así que dadme vuestra opinión y dejadme vuestras versiones para poder publicarlas.
